The board of directors supports K.S. Pua to continue to serve as CEO and lead the company to surpass its NT$100 billion goal in revenue
The chairman and CEO of the company, Mr. K.S. Pua, voluntarily resigned as chairman and director today (11/18). Mr. K.S. Pua explained to Phison’s board of directors that the financial report case that occurred in 2016 is still under litigation proceedings. While he is still qualified to continue serving as chairman of the company in accordance with the law, Mr. K.S. Pua wants to ensure that the company continues to meet the high standards of corporate governance. Therefore, after careful consideration and in the interest of the company's long-term growth plans, he took the initiative to resign from the chairman and director roles of the company. Phison’s board of directors expressed regret, but fully respects Mr. K.S. Pua's decision and accepts it.
Nevertheless, in consideration of Mr. K.S. Pua's significant contribution to the development of the company's operations and success, the board of directors still unanimously supports Mr. K.S. Pua continuing in his role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company.
After receiving the letter of resignation from Mr. K.S. Pua, the board of directors of the company convened an interim board meeting in accordance with the law, and elected Mr. W.K. Gan, a current director of the company, as the chairman of the board. Mr. W.K. Gan is highly qualified and has an outstanding background from academics to decades of work experience within the organization. He graduated from the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, and has been working at Phison since 2001. He is currently serving as vice president of the company's product operation business group. Mr. W.K. Gan has extensive experience and has made outstanding contributions to the company’s core technology development, procurement of key components, production and quality control, among others. Therefore, the company’s board of directors unanimously elected Mr. W.K. Gan as the chairman of the board. Mr. W.K. Gan has accepted the board of directors’ resolution and will work with Mr. K.S. Pua closely for the company.
The company's organizational structure is solid and operations will remain unaffected as its performance continues to grow rapidly. With the joint efforts of the board of directors, new chairman W.K. Gan, CEO K.S. Pua, president A.Y.C.K. and all colleagues, Phison will move towards its future goal of NT$100 billion in revenue.
