According to research data from the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, on average, each additional tree on Earth can absorb and reduce 12kg CO2<\/sub>e per year. Since 2021, Phison has been promoting the “Long-term Coastal Forest Restoration Plan”, leading volunteers to plant tree species that can adapt to the coastal environment along the coastline for five consecutive years.<\/p>\n

This year, Phison is still working with the Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation (TOAF) to plant a total of 1,000 new trees in the Nangang section of Xiangshan District, Hsinchu City and the Beizhuang section of Guanshan Town, Taitung County. At the same time, we carried out a tree planting activity on April 12 at the coastal afforestation area in Nangang section of Xiangshan District, Hsinchu City, where Phison\u2019s volunteers planted the saplings themselves.<\/p>\n

Because many of the volunteers already have experience in tree planting, and the land adopted this year has higher humidity and lower salinity, there is no need to use water-storing tree planters and the saplings can be planted directly, thus greatly improving the planting efficiency. In accordance with the conditions of the coastal afforestation area, everyone worked together to carefully plant water hibiscus, white bottlebrush, and casuarina, hoping that in the years to come, the trees will form a forest, not only beautifying the coastal landscape but also mitigating climate change and enhancing biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
