Phison’s flagship PCIe SSD controller, PS5012, utilizes a TSMC 28nm process. It maximizes the PCIe Gen 3x4 interface for read and write speeds of up to 3,450MB/s and 3,150MB/s respectively. It can reach device capacity of up to 8TB. The PS5012-E12 based drives are capable of 600K in 4K random read/write performances (IOPS), nearly doubling competitor’s results. PS5012-E12’s top-of-the-line performance will meet the requirements of various high-end applications where the storage speed becomes critical, such as artificial intelligence, mobile gaming computing, and enterprise data center applications.
