Phison CES 2016 Announcements
CES, Las Vegas (January 6, 2016) –
Today Phison Electronics Corporation (8299.TW) is showcasing flash storage solutions of the future at CES 2016 ranging from PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe SSD, next generation SATA SSD based on 1Znm TLC flash, USB Type-C flash drive that allows single port devices to charge simultaneously, and UHS-II 128GB ultra performing SD/microSD card reaching up to 280 MB/s read and 245 MB/s write transfer rates.
The PS5007-E7, the latest PCI Gen3x4 NVMe SSD controller is in the final phase of performance tuning, currently achieving sequential performance of 2600 MB/s read and 1500 MB/s write, random performance(burst) of 300k IOPS read and 250k IOPS write, and random performance(sustained) of 36K IOPS based on 1Znm MLC. We expect customer qualifications to begin in February and consumer products available in March of 2016. The controller supports up expand to 4 Terabytes.
The PS3110-S10, a SATA III/6Gbps controller now supports the latest 1Znm NAND flash technology. Pairing with 1Znm TLC, the S10 controller not only saturates the SATA bus but also adds additional proprietary technology to provide a robust solution. These S10 based solutions have already been awarded numerous times since its recent release to the market.
The C-Thru Drive, a unique next generation USB Type-C flash device that enables users to simultaneously charge their single port mobile solutions while accessing content. This allows users to not have to hassle taking additional dongles while providing performance that is higher than most mobile phone and tablet transfer speeds.
The PS8036, an ultra high speed UHS-II SD/microSD controller is the ideal solution for consumers looking to not only expand the storage capacity but also increase the performance of their SD capable mobile tablet or phone. The PS8036 is capable of achieving up to 280 MB/s read and 245 MB/s write transfer speeds which was demonstrated at CES 2016 to double the built in SSD storage speed of the latest 2 in 1 tablet.

Phison Announces PS5007-E7, PCIe Gen3x4 SSD controller with NVMe Specification
Flash Memory Summit, Santa Clara (August 11, 2015) –
Today Phison Electronics Corporation (8299.TW) announced its availability of the company’s first ultra-high speed Gen3x4 NVMe SSD controller, the PS5007-E7. With 8-channel transfer speeds and 64CE support capable of up to 4TB capacity, PS5007-E7 is not only the best solution for the gaming and high-end PC markets, but also a perfect choice for enterprise servers and data center applications. The Phison PS5007-E7 will be begin shipping on October of 2015.
PS5007-E7 supports 1Znm SLC/MLC/TLC as well as the latest 3D NAND. Working with 1Z MLC, PS5007-E7 delivers speeds over 2600 MB/s sequential read and over 1300 MB/s sequential write, with random 4K up to 350,000 IOPS read and 250,000 IOPS write performance. The controller supports up to 2 Terabytes today and will expand to 4 Terabytes in the coming future. PS5007-E7 also supports NVMe L1 sub-state with less than 5mW in L1.2 low power mode, a key requirement for next generation notebook.
Phison is the first Taiwanese design-house to release a PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe controller to production. Phison also develops hardware and firmware technology to elevate SSD performance and endurance. PS5007-E7 is built with end-to-end data path protection circuits and a SmartECCTM engine to ensure data integrity in high speed transfer. The PhisonElectronics Corporation Hefei
On the afternoon of May 25, 2015, Phison Electronics Corporation Hefei R&D Base Project Signing Ceremony was held at Hefei Civil Centre in Hefei. Wu Cunrong, the Member of the Standing Committee of Anhui Province and Secretary of Hefei Municipal Committeeof the CPC attended the signing ceremony, and met with the Pan Jiancheng, President of Phison Electronics Corporation before the ceremony. Zhang Qingjun, the Vice Secretary of Hefei Municipal Committee of the CPC and Mayor of Hefei and Huang Wentao, the Member of the Standing Committee of Hefei of the CPC and Vice Mayor of Hefei were also presented in the ceremony and met with the delegation. Pan Jiancheng and Chen Hua, Deputy Secretary of the Administrative Committee of Hefei Hi-tech Industry Development Zone co-signed the contract on the behalf of Phison and Hefei respectively.
The signing ceremony marks that Phison Electronics Corporationis officially settled down in Hefei and its new R&D base plans to be launched on July 1st of 2015. Phison Showcases SATA III TLC SSD, 2TB MLC SSD, and Power-Fail Protection Design at CES 2015
CES 2015, Las Vegas (January 7, 2014) –
Phison Electronics Corporation (8299.TWO), a global leader in SSD controllers, showcases multiple exciting solutions at CES 2015, based on the SATA III quad-core CPU controller PS3110. PS3110 supports wide spectrums of applications, ushering a new era of SSD computing.
The PS3110 equipped TLC SSD is in 2.5’’SSD form factor, delivers up to 550MB/s sequential read and 520MB/s sequential write performance, with random 4K IOPS up 90,000 read and 80,000 write on the 1TB SSD live demo. With Phison’s in-house proprietary ECC algorithm SmartECC™ and other enhancement to extend the NAND endurance and reliability, PS3110 TLC SSD is the best solution for cost-centric market as a hard drive replacement, as well as the cold storage segment for hyperscale application where pricing of TLC is attractive. The PS3110 TLC solution will be in customer sampling in Q1 of 2015, with mass production target at beginning of Q2, 2015.
On the MLC SSD solution, Phison has extended the capacity support up to 2TB on the 2.5’’ SSD, maintaining high performance at 550MB/s and 540MB/s sequential read and write, with 100,000 and 90,000 random read and write. This is made possible from the quad-core PS3110 with enough drive strength to support up to 128 NAND dies in a single design. 2TB SSD will serve the high-capacity demanded market.
The third highlighted showcase is a full power-fail protection SSD design that will completely protect valuable in-transit data during the event of power interruption. Along with the end-to-end data path protection feature built-in to the controller, PS3110 is in the driver seat to be a strong contender to enable enterprise-level customers.
“PS3110, since its debut at Flash Memory Summit four months ago, has drawn significant interests from industry-wide customers,” said KS Pua, CEO of Phison Electronics. “PS3110 has been qualified by retail gaming customers, PC OEMs, and enterprise partners.
