Phison Inside: Kingston’s M.2 SATA III SSD

The widely available PS3108 SATA III controller has earned another design-win with Kingston’s latest M.2 SSD design. The 8-channel controller delivers extreme performance up to 540MB/s on Sequential Read and 500MB/s on Sequential write,  with enough power to drive capacity up to 1TB of capacity. M.2 SSD (formerly NGFF) is shaping up to become the mainstream form factor for future slim notebooks, taking advantage of its small size, low power consumption, and fast performance.
