Continue to launch the "Long-term Plan for Coastal Forest Restoration" Phison's Volunteers planted water-storing tree planters

Phison has been promoting the "Long-term Plan for Coastal Forest Restoration" since 2021, and it is now entering its second year. This year, an off-shore tree planting activity was held on March 19 in the adopted woodland near Qinghai Palace in the Guogang, Houlong Township, Miaoli County. Phison's colleagues responded enthusiastically to the event and showed great passion. 

In order to complete the planting in the rainy season with limited time, 25 volunteers from Phison, under the guidance of Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation’s(TOAF) volunteers, planted water-storing tree planters by themselves in a very sunny day. A total of 300 trees were planted on site. It is hoped that the three-year plan can successfully plant trees into forests, protect Taiwan's coastline, and avoid continuous loss of land. 

In 2021, Phison cooperated with TOAF to plant a total of 1,000 trees on the adopted offshore land (Xucuogang, Dayuan Dist., Taoyuan City, and Datan Land, Guanyin Dist., Taoyuan City). In 2022, the two parties decided to cooperate again and plant 1,000 new trees, including hibiscus and casuarina, on the selected offshore land (Guogang, Houlong Township, Miaoli County, and Hexing, Houlong Township, Miaoli County). The cumulative number of trees planted has reached 2,000, and it is estimated to reduce carbon dioxide by 79,744 kg, helping to build a green Great Wall with rich ecosystems.

From planting trees, growing trees to finally becoming a forest, Phison hopes to use this plan to contribute to SDG14: LIFE BELOW WATER, integrating corporate resources to deepen social impact and fulfill corporate social responsibility.
