Coastal Forest and Mountain Forest Restoration Plan

Project description

Phison Electronics is located in Miaoli County. In view of the rural-urban and wealth gap makes the learning history document an unfair mechanism, we launched the five-year "Fun to Go to Schools” program in 2021. In addition to cash donation, we also brought stationery, books, sporting goods and other materials donated and purchased by colleagues, and sent them to Li Yue Elementary School and Nan Hei Elementary School to enrich children's learning resources. At the same time, volunteers plan unique STEAM courses for students every year.

Due to the impact of climate change and the misuse of land by our country fellows, Taiwan's coastline is shrinking and thus the land draining. Growing a comprehensive patch of coastal forest that forms a natural green barrier is the best way to conserve the coastal ecological systems and our land. Phison Electronics has been investing in donations and recruiting volunteers since 2021, and has continued to invest in afforestation work in coastal ecologically sensitive areas and state-owned forest lands.

Outcome

■The Company is located in Miaoli County. Choosing to cooperate with local schools can strengthen the connection with the local community and help evenly distribute educational resources.

■The school cooperates with enterprises to link external resources and introduce the STEAM concept. At the same time, donations can be used for school building maintenance, maintaining the student activity environment, and improving students' learning experience and quality.

■Volunteers improve their interpersonal communication skills through interactions with children and other team members.

■Through interactions with volunteers and STEAM courses, primary school students can open up their curiosity and imagination about information technology, which helps to enhance their interest in learning in life.

■Planting trees can not only help soil improvement and soil accumulation, but also maintain the ecological environment and biodiversity, improve air quality, regulate climate, and accelerate the process of “net-zero”.

■During the tree planting activities, volunteers gained a lot of environmental knowledge and learned the correct methods of tree planting through interaction with the  Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation (TOAF), which helped to enhance environmental protection awareness.

■Through long-term tree planting plans, the Company establishes trustworthy and diverse partnerships, accumulates the power of change, and jointly promotes a sustainable vision.
