Phison Electronics has dedicated to local environmental conservation work for many years, particularly in the area of marine protection. Since 2021, we have been implementing the “Coastal Forest Restoration Long-term Plan”, which is now entering its fourth consecutive year without interruption. Additionally, since 2017, Phison has responded to the beach clean-up activities organized by the Hsinchu City Environmental Protection Bureau every year (only halted during pandemic periods), gathering dozens of employees and their family members to contribute their part for the ocean.
The recent joint autumn beach cleanup event involving Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli and surrounding areas mobilized over two thousand people across four counties on September 28th at Xingfu Beach(幸福沙灣). The activity range is about 500 meters from Xingfu Beach southward to Kanhai Park(看海公園). In the end, Hsinchu City alone completed the removal of approximately 800 kilograms of garbage, including 580 kilograms of general garbage and 220 kilograms of recyclable materials.
On that day, Phison’s volunteer team went to the site to protect the coastal environments through active participation in cleanups. Through the beach cleanup process, we realize that if we want to implement the concept of sustainable ocean, beach cleanup is only a temporary solution, and implementing plastic and waste reduction actions in daily life is the best way to protect marine resources. In addition, colleagues and their family members worked together during the beach cleanup process, making this event not only a best sustainable class, but also enhancing mutual friendship and cohesion.
