Phison Electronics is in the fourth year of its five-year “Fun to Go to Schools ” assistance program. Volunteers chose to visit local schools just before the Mid-Autumn Festival to help children understand traditional festivals and the historical origins of Mid-Autumn customs. They also introduced STEAM education in an accessible manner, explaining astronomical knowledge related to the moon and assembled DIY painted moon lanterns with the children.

Through this teaching session, the children not only learned about the origins of eating mooncakes and pomelos but also gained a lot of knowledge about the moon, including the fact that it is the Earth's only natural satellite, its circumference and volume, and its distance from the Earth, etc. Afterwards, the children used their creativity and artistic skills to paint their own dream moon lamps.

When the volunteers introduced how Phison helped the space startup Skycorp test SSDs on a lunar mission in September 2022 and showed photos of the SSDs that had returned to Earth after a space adventure, the children were amazed and exclaimed, "So romantic!"

As Phison is located in Miaoli County, we chose to focus on local community service. For four consecutive years, we have recruited and invited company colleagues to form a volunteer team and visit Linyu Elementary School (in Sanyi Township, Miaoli County) and Nanhe Elementary School (in Gongguan Township, Miaoli County) to serve and contribute to the development of local rural schools. Phison also made donations to both schools to enrich the resources available for the children's education. Over the past four years, the volunteer team has learned and grew together with the children, striving to bring more meaningful courses to everyone and nurture the potential of the students.
